I had a conference with my Cooperating Teacher determining the materials he wants me to prepare. However, it's not just the material he wants me to contribute, he wasn't feeling well that day and he made me teach his class for a day. I was only given short period of time and therefore, I wasn't able to show my full potential.
Here is the link to my personally made PowerPoint presentation. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/17hh1xoZ9bzbONOgtLocHRb44QggGvELa/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=1123
Reflection
1. What difficulties confronted you while you were assisting your CT in the preparation of instructional materials? Actually, for mathematics subjects, it's not the output or the presentation that matters most. It doesn't need images or aesthetic appearances because we are to deal with letters and numbers. For me, I find this a problem if we are going to associate it with the interest of the learners since first and foremost, math is viewed already as a difficult subject. Honestly, it's hard to make a math lesson presentation an interesting one. I wasn't able to include images and I just made a plain presentation since what's most necessary is the text, the illustration, and the discussion.
2. Write your experience of success in preparing various instructional materials.
As I have mentioned in the first question, I was thinking of making it more appealing but I had a second thought to make it as simple as possible since it's the deliverance of the lesson that matters most. Basing from the presentation my Math teacher presented, I came up with this presentation. It is simple but I consider it as a success. I have made sure I included all important topics and examples. It's not much something to be bragged about but I can say that it is enough in making a better teaching.
